"Religions Working
Together"
Clean up at Camden Lock
Thirteen people
of different faiths, all members of the group Religions
Working Together, cleaned up at Camden Lock on
Sunday, 12th September, tackling rubbish and graffiti.
Three brave or rash members of the group
even ventured into the canal itself in a small rubber
dinghy, and filled half a rubbish bag with floating
debris.
Many hundreds of
people were introduced to the idea of different faiths
working together in the community, and the response
was very positive, with many comments that this was
a great idea.
Religions Working Together has
members from many different religions, including Buddhism,
Church of England, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism,
Mount Zion 7th Church of God, Roman Catholic Church,
Scientology, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism.
